A-Team Summer Internship

The Arras Foundation supports the growth and development of our young people throughout their transition to adulthood.

We offer a highly competitive summer internship program that gives college students and/or recent college graduates the opportunity to make important professional contributions to the communities the Arras Foundation serves.

Our interns are exposed to the philanthropy sector, working together with local nonprofit organizations and community members. Join us and gain experience in community engagement, communications, research, professional networking, and more.

Eligibility

Applicants must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education. Dual enrollment during high school years will not be counted toward the one-year completion requirement. All majors/areas of study accepted. While the Arras Foundation will consider applications from a wide range of locations, ALL interns are expected to be available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Candidates should possess an interest in learning and serving the community, and a high level of initiative and professionalism. Successful candidates also exhibit:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Research and analysis skills

  • Planning and marketing skills

  • Ability to work both independently and in a group setting

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and/or other softwares

  • Experience with and/or interest in nonprofit or community-based organizations is preferred

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Applicants must have completed at least ONE YEAR of post-secondary education (Dual Enrollment IS NOT a substitution)

  • Students may be enrolled in OR a recent graduate of any college or university

  • A committee of community members will select interns based on overall qualifications and experience

  • If applicants are offered an interview based on the application, candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview

  • Participants are required to sign a non-disclosure, confidentiality agreement

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

The internship period will be from June to August 2026. Interns will typically work Monday-Friday, with possible occasional evening and weekend work required. Interns will be expected to work the full experience in-person with limited time out of office. While the Arras Foundation will consider applications from a wide range of locations, ALL interns are expected to be available in-person Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

A stipend will be provided for the internship.

The following is an overview of the sections of the A-Team application. Please have these items prepared, as they are required for your application to be considered.

  1. Student Information
  2. School Experience (includes current GPA, expected graduation date, and applicable computer skills)
  3. Essay Prompts (you will be asked to upload a .PDF file with your full, detailed responses to two (2) essay prompts)
  4. Cover Letter and Resume
  5. Reference Letters (we ask for you to include two (2) letters of recommendation; recommenders should indicate in their letters why you would be a good fit for this internship)
