Mark your calendars; it’s almost time to Give Local!
On Friday, Nov. 14, you will have the chance to support any of 105 local participating nonprofit organizations by visiting www.givelocalsc.org and donating to your favorite causes.
Why is it important to give on Nov. 14 during Give Local?
The Arras Foundation is matching, dollar for dollar, any gift that is given on Nov. 14 up to $1,000 each to all participating organizations. The Foundation is ALSO offering two other match opportunities up to $1,000 – for ten minutes each at 10 AM and at 10 PM – in honor of 2025 being the TENTH YEAR of Give Local in our community!
This means your charitable gift has the opportunity to be DOUBLED multiple times throughout the day!
How can I give?
You can support your favorite local causes online by visiting www.givelocalsc.org and searching for the organizations you want to support. You can also give physical donations by dropping off cash or checks directly at the nonprofit’s office/address, at the Arras Foundation office in Lancaster, or at the Chester County Chamber of Commerce office in Chester. If you choose to give by check, please make out your check directly to the nonprofit organization to which you are donating, date the check November 14, 2025, and include “Give Local 2025” on the memo line.
Note: We encourage all checks to be dropped off PRIOR to November 14, so the nonprofit has time to “enter” your gift into the system on Give Local day. This way, your physical donation will be counted toward the online matching opportunities!
How else can I participate?
Join us at our in-person event TOAST TO 10 YEARS! On Friday, November 14, from 4:30-6:30pm at the Arras Foundation (601 N. Main St., Lancaster, SC). Enjoy free dinner for the whole family, live music, a photo booth, raffle prizes, and more! This event is FREE & OPEN to ALL!
