Meet the presenters:
HEATHER MITCHELL, President, BOUDREAUX
Heather is passionate about rehabilitating historic structures, master planning, and higher education design. Many of her firm’s historic rehabilitation efforts have been made financially possible through tax incentives. She has spoken on tax incentives as a tool for downtown revitalization at the Municipal Association’s Elected Officials Institute and SC Chapter of the American Planning Association Conference. She earned degrees in Architecture from the University of Virginia and Syracuse University and has worked at BOUDREAUX for more than two decades, becoming a principal in 2004 and President in 2006.
ROBERT LEWIS, Attorney, Rogers Lewis Group
Robert is a lawyer and businessman with extensive experience in historic preservation projects. His practice focuses on representing real estate developers and business owners in property tax reassessment matters and in seeking tax credits, grants, and other incentives. He has been involved in numerous historic, textile mill or abandoned building tax credit projects, both as an owner/developer and as a legal consultant. Robert helps clients determine which incentives their project may be eligible for and advises the developer throughout their project to ensure that the incentive or tax credit requirements are properly adhered to.
